Life on the Road

Since we are getting a pretty good survey of nationwide Cracker Barrel locations, I thought I’d put up a summary page, to collect all the reviews in one place.  (This is always changing, so check back!)

Location numbers refer to the numbers on the Cracker Barrel locator maps that they offer.  (We keep the CB map in our map case, and track our ratings with colored dot stickers).  You can also look up the locations at their web site.

Our simplified rating system works like this:

• Green means good!
• Yellow means average.  Not my first choice, but not horrible.
• Red means stay away!

In addition, we’re tracking a couple of the very worst and very best in the country.

Notations also indicate those where the eating area is totally Non-Smoking (n/s) (although not all n/s locations may be indicated as such, since we weren’t tracking that in the beginning). 

Alabama

• Tuscaloosa (272).  Green, n/s - and #1 in the country!

Arizona

• Flagstaff (297).  Green, n/s - and #4 in the country!  (I wasn’t going to go down to #4, but Flagstaff will always hold a special place in my heart since we ate there so often during the 3 years we lived in Northern AZ.  Consistency is a very, very good thing).
• Kingman (416).  Red - and the #1 Worst in the country!
• Phoenix (334).  Yellow

Arkansas

• West Memphis (372).  Green 

Kentucky

• Bowling Green (86).  Yellow

Mississippi

• Jackson (139).  Green
• Tupelo (427).  Red - and the #2 Worst in the country

Ohio

• Forest Park (285).  Green, n/s  - and #3 in the country!
• Middletown ( ).  Green, n/s - and #2 in the country!

Tennessee

• Jackson (284).  Yellow
