What’s hot from the oven today?

A Typical Week

Although we will try to provide you with a day-to-day update of what’s being baked fresh, this guide can help you get a feel for the way things typically run.

This only applies to the bakery area that I mix - which could best be described as all the yeast-dough products.

At the end of my regular day I do also mix up dough for cookies, brownies, and pie crust, as needed - but they are baked in a separate production process that doesn’t intersect with ours.  Their goal is to have every kind of cake, pie, cookie and brownie available every day.

Friday:

In preparation for a busy day on Saturday, typically everything is being baked.  Cinnamon Rolls and Pecan Rolls, all six varieties of Bread, Cheese Sticks and Herb Sticks, Wheat and White Dinner Rolls.

Saturday:

Because of the high demand for Cinnamon Rolls, that is typically all that is being baked (although that does include Pecan Rolls).  We will also generally do Herb Rolls, since making Rolls doesn’t take away from Cinnamon Roll production time.

Monday:

After being closed Sunday, there is nothing “Day Old,” so typically everything is being baked.  Cinnamon Rolls and Pecan Rolls, all six varieties of Bread, Cheese Sticks and Herb Sticks, Wheat and White Dinner Rolls.

Tuesday - Thursday:

The goal is to have all types of bread available every day, so what we bake depends on what sells the previous day.  Since bread is considered fresh until the second day after it is baked, then, we only bake on Tuesday things that sold out entirely on Monday.  Cinnamon Rolls (and Pecan Rolls) are baked every day.
